Students make their way to class on a snowy Feb. day.The Graduate School’s professional development events may be cancelled and/or rescheduled for the following reasons:

 

Adverse Weather

If the university is operating under Adverse Weather policy, Graduate School events may be cancelled.

Facilitator/Speaker Logistics

If an event facilitator or speaker is is unable to lead the event due to illness, flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances and a replacement cannot be secured, the event may be cancelled.

Low Enrollment

If an event’s low enrollment numbers will impede its efficacy, the workshop may be cancelled.

When Graduate School events are cancelled or rescheduled, every effort will be made to notify all registered participants by email as soon as a decision is made. If possible, you will receive priority registration if the workshop is rescheduled within the same semester.

Cancel Your Own Workshop Registration

If you are unable to attend an event you registered for, please cancel your registration as soon as possible to allow waitlisted participants the opportunity to attend.   We provide an easy way to cancel your registration:

  • Prior to midnight the day before the workshop, cancel your registration through the registration system.
  • After midnight the day before the workshop, please send an email to pfl-assistant@ncsu.edu confirming that you will not be attending the workshop.
